Who We Are & What to Expect
Established in 1904, we are a diverse community of Christians committed to following Jesus through Word-centered discipleship, God-exalting worship, and gospel-driven community. Our purpose in gathering is not to merit God’s favor or earn a spiritual standing, but rather to worship him for his measureless glory and grace and gather in community around his life-giving Word.
WHEN YOU COME
What to Expect
When you arrive, you’ll find plenty of parking behind our building. If you’re a visitor, please take advantage of the reserved visitor parking near the front.
As You Enter
As you enter, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters who will pass along a welcome gift then direct you to the auditorium or–for those with children–guide you to the Child Check-in Station. The greeters are also happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the church. In the auditorium you will find several hundred people dressed in a range of attire from jeans to suits gathered for the service. Feel free to sit down by the stage or up in our balcony. There’s not a bad seat in the auditorium.
Our Music
Our music consists of vibrant worship songs and hymns accompanied by a choir and orchestra. In addition to congregational singing, our service includes prayers, Scripture reading, and an expositional sermon that seeks to unfold the meaning of God’s Word and apply it in relevant ways to everyday life. We invite you to attend! We look forward to meeting you.

Our History
Lake Orion Baptist Church has been a part of the Lake Orion, Michigan, community since 1904. Though Baptist by conviction and practice, we are an autonomous, independent church, not governed by or affiliated with any denomination or church association. By God's grace, we continue to meet the challenges of a changing culture with the unchanging truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
